TRAIL OPENING/CLOSING BARRICADES
Back for the second year are the "TRAIL CLOSED BARRICADES" this allows Columbia County Association of Snowmobile Clubs (CCASC) to allow each club to determine if the conditions are right to open and/or close their individual snowmobile trails pending on snow conditions. Additionally, the DNR Holiday Deer Hunt only affects certain trails in the county so this will allow us to open or close the affect trails. Be on the lookout for “TRAIL CLOSED BARRICADES” and “PLEASE TURN AROUND IF THE TRAIL IS CLOSED” barricades are out. If snowmobile's DO NOT obey “TRAIL CLOSED” signs, ride in areas with low snow or on land that is closed for hunting, we could lose that section of trail for good. If we ALL respect our landowners and follow the rules, this trial change should ensure more riding in Columbia County when we get snow. Know before you go – call Columbia County Hotline.
